Vaccine Pocket Guides The National Influenza Vaccine Summit will once again provide laminated influenza vaccination pocket guides free-of-charge to assist healthcare professionals in vaccinating patients against influenza. This is the tenth consecutive year that the Summit has produced and distributed such a pocket guide. The Summit is pleased to also be able to continue distribution of a similar pocket guide to aid in pneumococcal vaccination efforts. The purpose of each of these pocket guides is to provide front-line healthcare personnel with information on: • indications and contraindications for the vaccines • information on targeted populations to be vaccinated • details on how to administer the vaccines • talking points for patients Pocket guides are NOT to be distributed to patients. They are for the use of healthcare professionals only. Each of these pocket guides is available at no cost to your agency or organization. We encourage you to distribute the pocket guides to your members or constituents along with your encouragement to use the pocket guides to avoid missed opportunities. Diane C.
