Influenza Vaccine Availability Tracking System (IVATS)

The purpose of IVATS is to enable healthcare providers to find influenza vaccine to purchase, especially during the critical vaccination period.

IVATS provides a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet containing the following information:

  • Names of wholesale distributors or manufacturers with vaccine in stock for sale and/or on order
  • How to order vaccine (phone, email, web or fax)
  • Brands and formulations in stock for sale and/or on order
  • If on order, projected availability date(s)

To download the spreadsheet, right click the link, choose the "save as" option, and give the file a name and location on your computer.
To print, simply click on the link, select "open file," and when printing, make sure to print in "landscape" format on legal size paper to keep the report to one page.

Enrollment
Distributors and manufacturers who wish to be listed in the IVATS database must first enroll. After enrollment, the distributor or manufacturer should fill out their first bi-weekly report.

Reporting
Enrolled wholesale distributors and manufacturers should submit an updated bi-weekly report every other week, or more often if preferred.

Additional Information
The Influenza Vaccine Availability Tracking System (IVATS) has been developed to address difficulties healthcare providers may experience when trying to determine which wholesale distributors or manufacturers have influenza vaccine in stock for sale or on order. It is intended for use by: (1) healthcare providers seeking vaccine; and (2) influenza vaccine wholesale distributors or manufacturers with vaccine in stock for sale and/or on order.

IVATS resides on the National Influenza Vaccine Summit website. Information from approved, enrolled and participating wholesale vaccine distributors or manufacturers will be updated throughout the 2008-2009 influenza vaccination season.

A record number of 143-146 million doses of influenza vaccine have been projected for the 2008-2009 influenza vaccination season. With this more-than-ample supply anticipated, the objective is that influenza vaccination continue until vaccine is no longer available. IVATS can help to achieve this objective by linking healthcare providers with wholesale distributors and manufacturers.

Disclaimer: Please note that all information in IVATS is provided by wholesale distributors or manufacturers on a voluntary basis. IVATS is not intended to endorse or promote one wholesale distributor’s or manufacturer’s product over another, and all licensed, wholesale distributors or manufacturers are welcome and encouraged to enroll.
